School attendance is an important factor in establishing a good academic record. There is no substitute for actual class participation in discussion and work. The student may be excused for his/her absence from class but may not from the material covered. It is a student's responsibility to make up work in all subject areas covered during the absence. A note from the parent or guardian is required for each absence or tardy. For unexcused absences, the student will receive a zero for the work missed.
