Grading Policy

All assignments must be completed in a timely manner.  Assignments not completed in class may be finished at home and turned in the next day.   No name papers will be located in the "No Name Trashcan".  If your child is missing a grade, they may look in the trashcan for their paper.  If it is found, I will deduct 5 points from the grade the first time and 10 points each time after that before entering it into my gradebook.

Each student will have the opportunity to make up/rework three assignments with grades below 70 each six weeks grading period. This is not three assignments per subject, but three total.  This is a third grade policy only.

Students who are absent will have one day to make up work for each day missed. I urge you to help your child remember to do his or her homework every day.

Any absence will need to be accompanied by a note of explanation by a parent and/or doctor in accordance with the school policy. You may read the policy in your child's planner. Please remember that unexcused absenses will result in zeroes for that day's work.

A newsletter will be sent home each Monday with information on upcoming school events, field trips, tests, or any other important information.

All class work finished and unfinished will be found in your child's notebook he or she will bring home daily.

Please make sure all assignments are complete before the notebook is sent back to school. Also, the S.I.S. Assignment book will need to be checked and initialed daily by a parent.

Your child's finished and graded papers will be sent home weekly. These papers should be kept at home. Please sign the page in the folder to indicate you received your child's work.
